Derived from the Crimson Heart Pluot® interspecific plum, Coparose offers a much more appealing shape (spherical to slightly oblate) without the tips that its Pluot® parent sometimes bears. The smooth yellow to red exterior hides firm golden flesh and a flavor that is not overly sweet (15 ºBrix). The Coparose Pluot® ripens in mid-July with an average size of 125 grams. The vigorous tree requires a pollenizer such as Amigo 2, Crimson Royale, Dapple Dandy or Honey Punch. Estimated chilling requirement 600 hours. (U.S. Plant Patent No. 20173)
