Flavorella
Maturity Date:May 25 to June 10
Chilling Hours:500-600
Sold Out Of State:Available Upon Request
Container Type:Bare Root
With the size and shape of a plum but yellow skin and firm yellow flesh, the Flavorella plumcot is a pleasant surprise for consumers. The fruit features a pronounced aroma reminiscent of a Santa Rosa plum, while the tart skin is slightly pubescent like an apricot. The Flavorella plumcot was hybridized by Floyd Zaiger who described the flavor as “a creative taste between apricot and plum.” Harvested in the first two weeks of June, this clingstone requires a pollenizer such as Jordanne, Flavor Ann or Gold Brink. Estimated chilling requirement 500-600 hours.
